The primary mission of the IT System Administrator is client system management, which includes the monitoring and maintenance of clients' infrastructure, including physical servers, virtual machines, and cloud-based systems.

As a member of the IT Services Team, the IT System Administrator will collaborate with team members to provide remote and onsite technical support. This position is intended to provide a foundation of relevant knowledge for growth within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

Operating System Administration:
Managing and administering various operating systems, such as Windows Server, Linux, or macOS, to ensure their stability, security, and proper functioning. This includes system installation, configuration, user management, patching, and troubleshooting.

Server Monitoring and Performance Optimization:
Proactively monitoring the performance and health of client servers using monitoring tools and implementing optimizations to improve server performance, resource utilization, and response times.

Backup and Disaster Recovery:
Implementing and managing backup and disaster recovery solutions for clients' systems to ensure data integrity, availability, and business continuity. This includes monitoring backup processes and performing restoration tests.

Security Management:
Implementing and maintaining security measures for client systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, antivirus software, and access controls. Performing security assessments, vulnerability scans, and applying necessary patches and updates to address security vulnerabilities.

User Management and Support:
Managing user accounts, permissions, and access controls for client systems. Providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users, including password resets, software installations, and system configurations.

Patch Management:
Developing and implementing a patch management strategy for clients' systems to ensure they are up to date with the latest security patches, bug fixes, and software updates. This involves testing patches, scheduling deployments, and monitoring patching compliance.

Application and Service Administration:
Configuring, deploying, and maintaining various applications and services utilized by clients, such as email servers, database systems, collaboration tools, and web servers. This includes monitoring application performance, troubleshooting issues, and performing necessary updates.

Documentation and Reporting:
Maintaining accurate documentation of system configurations, changes, and procedures for clients. Generating reports on system performance, capacity utilization, incidents, and other metrics to track and communicate the status of client systems.

Vendor and Partner Coordination:
Collaborating with hardware and software vendors, service providers, and technology partners to procure necessary equipment, resolve technical issues, and coordinate service delivery to clients.

Continual Learning and Professional Development:
Staying abreast of the latest technologies, industry trends, and certifications relevant to system administration in an MSP environment. Continuously improving technical skills and knowledge to provide efficient and effective system administration services.

The primary mission of the IT Network Administrator is to maintain the network infrastructure of clients within the Opti-Vise IT portfolio. This includes installing, configuring and troubleshooting network devices, implementing security measures, and ensuring reliable network connectivity for clients.

As a member of the IT Services Team, the Network Administrator will collaborate with team members to resolve remote and onsite support escalations for both managed hardware/services and general support issues. This position is intended to provide a foundation of relevant knowledge for growth within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Onboarding and Offboarding:
Assisting with the onboarding of new clients onto the MSP's network infrastructure, which involves network design, implementation, and migration of client systems. Similarly, when a client offboards from the MSP, the network administrator ensures a smooth transition of network resources and data.

Client Support and Service Requests:
Providing technical support to clients for network-related issues, including network connectivity, security, and performance problems. Responding to escalated service requests, incidents, and change requests in a timely manner and adhering to defined service level agreements (SLAs).

Network Monitoring and Management Tools:
Utilizing network monitoring and management tools provided by the MSP to proactively monitor client networks, track performance metrics, and identify potential issues. Generating reports, analyzing data, and taking appropriate actions to maintain network uptime and performance.

Security Services:
Implementing and managing network security services for clients, including firewall management, intrusion detection/prevention systems, virtual private networks (VPNs), and security incident response. Conducting regular security audits and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate security measures.

Backup and Disaster Recovery:
Assisting clients in designing and implementing network backup and disaster recovery solutions. This includes regular backups, testing of backup and recovery procedures, and ensuring data integrity and availability in case of network failures or disasters.

Documentation and Reporting:
Maintaining accurate documentation of client network configurations, changes, and procedures. Generating network performance reports, incident reports, and other documentation as required by the MSP and clients.

Vendor and Partner Coordination:
Collaborating with network equipment vendors, service providers, and technology partners to procure network hardware/software, resolve technical issues, and coordinate service delivery to clients.

Continuous Learning and Professional Development:
Keeping up to date with the latest networking technologies, industry trends, and certifications relevant to the MSP environment. Continuously improving technical skills and knowledge to provide the best network administration services to clients.

The primary mission of the IT Support Specialist is to serve as a key resource to our client base, providing traditional endpoint support, as well as supporting the managed service stack deployed to maintain stable, secure, and productive network environments.

You will establish and maintain a positive rapport with our client base by receiving, documenting, prioritizing, and actively resolving end user support requests in a timely and professional manner. As a member of the IT Services Team, the IT Support Specialist will collaborate with team members to maintain the success of managed services, site and infrastructure. This position is intended to be the start of your IT career path and will provide a foundation of relevant knowledge for growth within the company.

Responsibilities:

Client Communication

  • Receive client support requests and translate into actionable tasks
  • Prioritize and schedule requests based on outlined standards and timeline requirements
  • Provide status updates of open requests to customers
  • Document client communications and remediation process through to final resolution
  • Complete post-resolution follow-ups to ensure client satisfaction.

Endpoint Support

  • Perform remote endpoint support to client base such as software installs/upgrades, file recovery, license management, password resets, configuring systems and applications, customer training, etc.
  • Work with third-party vendor support to troubleshoot, identify and remediate issues

Managed Service Support

  • Identify and learn managed service stack deployed and supported by IT Services Team
  • Understand and maintain configuration standards deployed
  • Monitor deployed services such as backup and disaster recovery, cybersecurity, gateway security, etc.

IT Site/Infrastructure Support

  • Identify and learn managed infrastructure deployed and supported by IT Services Team
  • Understand and maintain configuration standards deployed
  • Monitor deployed hardware such as firewalls, switches, access points, etc.

Your Areas of Knowledge and Expertise:

  • Associates Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems (or related field), or equivalent work experience
  • 1+ years of experience supporting IT hardware/software/infrastructure
  • A proven understanding of IT network and collaboration concepts
  • Working knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP, VoIP, DNS, DHCP
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft products, applications, and server operating systems
  • Ability to research, absorb and retain information
