If not, now is the perfect time to get informed as January 28th marks Data Privacy Day, an annual international event sponsored by the National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA), designed to promote awareness about privacy and education about privacy best practices.

The staff at Opti-Vise recently attended the 2011 Intel Channel & Embedded Fall Conference in Columbus, Ohio. Intel is an American global technology company that makes the processesors found in most computers as well as other devices for communication and computing.

Attending these events assures our technical staff keeps current with the latest technology and products from Intel and other technology leaders so that we may provide the very best service and solutions to our customers.

2011 Kids for Kids Holiday Open House

Opti-Vise is cosponsoring the Kids for Kids holiday open house on Saturday, December 3rd from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the “Santa Cabin” at Fort St. Clair state park, located on Camden Road in Eaton, Ohio.

Hosted by the Register-Herald, the annual event benefits the Preble County Toys for Kids program of the United Way and Graceworks Lutheran Social Services. Last year over 900 items were donated during the program’s eighth year.

Families attending can enjoy refreshments, goody bags, and a variety of activities. Children can have their pictures taken with Santa (for free!) and sign up to win door prizes. One lucky child will win a new netbook computer donated by Opti-Vise. The Register-Herald will draw for the winner of the computer on Monday, December 5th.

We encourage you to stop in and make a donation at the Kids for Kids holiday open house to support the Preble County Toys for Kids program!

Opti-Vise Welcomes New Staff Member

Opti-Vise is pleased to announce the recent addition of Zachariah Diver to the Opti-Vise staff as Desktop Support Technician.

Zach is a graduate of Indiana Tech in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Information Systems. In addition to his educational creditials, he gained experience as an IT technican working for Fort Financial Credit Union and office supply retailer, Staples, both located in Fort Wayne.

Aside from his interest in technology, Zach’s hobbies include working on cars, sports, riding motorcyles, camping and fishing.

Opti-Vise Announces Staff Additions

Bryan Wayt

Opti-Vise, LLC is pleased to announce the recent staff additions of Bryan Wayt as Network/IT Support Specialist and Alex Remillard as a summer intern.

Remillard, a graduate of Miamisburg High School, is currently studying computer engineering at the University of Dayton. As a summer intern he will be assisting the staff technicians with various projects.

Wayt brings more than a decade’s worth of experience in the information technology industry. After having resided in Orlando, Florida and Indianapolis, Indiana, Bryan recently returned to his childhood hometown of Richmond, Indiana where he currently resides. “I am excited to be back in the area and look forward to helping both Opti-Vise and our partners continue to grow and succeed”, says Wayt.

“Bryan’s experience and expertise will help us to expand our capabilities and services to our clients. We’re excited to add him to our team of talented technicians”, says Kent Hamilton, President. “We’re also pleased to provide Alex with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and knowledge in the IT field.”
